Fern Creek does not currently have a library. Our branch of the Louisville Free Public Library was closed in June, 2019 as part of Louisville Metro Government budget cuts.
A state-of-the-art $18.5 million,18,000 square-foot Fern Creek Library is now under construction and is expected to open in the fall of 2026.

A state-of-the-art $18.5 million,18,000 square-foot Fern Creek Library is under construction and is expected to open in the fall of 2026. The facility will feature an abundance of natural light, comfortable and quiet spaces for reading and studying, meeting rooms, and dedicated areas for children and teens.
The new Fern Creek Library will be at 9127 Fern Creek Road, next to Fern Creek High School, and across from the Fern Creek Community Center.
